Opening the window while soldering is no option for me during the winter, because my room gets very cold very fast. For that reason I have build a solder flume extractor. I have got the fan from my unkle, and bought the rest my self. I spend about €6,- on this project, and it works great! 

 

I used an activated Carbon filter for extracting the smoke. So this device is basicly just a fan (you can use pc fans but they work on 12v so you will need a transformer/adapter), with an activated carbon filter mounted behind it.
